Biography
of Betty Warden
Betty Warden
has been a general, direct marketing consultant for several years. Her
knowledge and expertise comes from more than 20 years of being a practitioner
in direct marketing. Her experience is broad and diverse, ranging from
general management to data base marketing and from managing creatives
to telemarketing.
Betty's
direct marketing career began at The Signature Group, for which she
was a vice president and general manager. At Signature, her stewardship
included oversight for marketing and operations for merchandise, as
well as for continuity profit centers (such as a credit card security
program, a home protection plan, and a credit security plan).
In addition
to working on the client side building profitable continuity programs
via mail and phone, Betty has also been on the agency side--as a Vice
President, Direct Marketing of Foote, Cone & Belding/Direct. She's
also managed the direct response department for Marsh & McLennan
Group Associates producing direct mail insurance promotions for associations,
and served as Vice President for the Direct Response Corporation, specializing
in business-to-business outbound telemarketing.
Clients
for whom Betty has worked include: AAA, AT&T, AMA, Cara Corporation,
C N A, EAA, Encyclopaedia Britannica, FastMAN software, Illinois Bureau
of Tourism, as well as FCB/Direct, Ogilvy, Rapp Collins, the Core Organization,
Nykamp Consulting Group and RR Donnelley Direct.
Since 1993, Betty has coordinated DePaul University's Certificate Program
in Direct Marketing, and also serves as adjunct faculty for DePaul.
Betty is extremely active in Chicago's direct marketing community. She
is a past president of the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing and
holds a part-time position as the Executive Director of CADM's Educational
Foundation.
Her educational
background includes a BA in English literature from Roosevelt University
and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
